A warm welcome message

Hi! Thanks for visiting my site. You're likely here because I applied for a job at your company.

A quick background on me: I started my Web design and development career almost 18 years ago. For the last nine years I've focused primarily on HTML and CSS development, putting design work on the back burner.

I have a degree in journalism because I wanted to write about the Oakland A's for Sports Illustrated, but for a few reasons a journalism career didn't work out after I graduated. To make ends meet as a new graduate I held a few clerical jobs, and in the early 2000s I started freelancing in graphic and Web design. It was a good fit — I've always been an artsy person, and I originally considered majoring in graphic design. But since both my siblings earned degrees in graphic design, I went a different route. It's funny; I made a career out of it, and they didn't. (Don't tell them I said that.)

Despite dedicating myself to Web work, I still love to write. While I was at Zoosk, I contributed to our engineering blog plus a humble article on Zoosk's The Date Mix.

If you want to contact me, please send me a message through LinkedIn.

Thanks again for stopping by.
